Jerry Tommolini, for example, with his collection for Agogoa for the Spring/Summer 2012 at Milan Fashion Week creates sophisticated, even daring bathing suits and bikinis that appear as stylish as they are bold. The models are muscular to convey that boldness, and walk with strength as they showcase grayish-blue bikinis to go with their palm tree headwear, chunky necklaces, and fringed heels. Bikinis and bathing suits with stripes are worn with tight form fitting leggings that could as easily be mistaken for clubbing clothes. Some bikinis have embellishments, while others are just sassy--not the typical bikinis you'd seen for a downtown girl down the shore, but for the girl who knows what she wants--who conveys power as well as style. A bit of a nature theme is added to the mix and the result is beachwear you want to wear.

Exotic suits, one-pieces and cover ups were all inspired by the Pacific Ocean combined with Amazon prints to make the high-end swimsuit line stand out from all the others. Models walked down the runway in neutral and bold colors, leopard prints, handmade embroidery, metallics and metallized paillettes. Coverups came in beige and ivory reflecting a down-to-the-floor bridal look. The collection also included a few bandeau tops with one shoulders or embellished jewels. http://youtube.com/FashionTV MIAMI - Luli Fama Swimwear is based in Miami, so her collection was certainly a favorite at Miami Swim Fashion Week 2012. Luli Fama wanted to make an impact and she certainly did as the collection opened with a party--girls that were either Las Vegas showgirls or (more likely) glittery dancers from Rio de Janeiro came out in big pink feather headdresses as well as feathers on their hips. This was a longer show--there were 79 pieces in total and Luli Fama made sure to include a little bit of everything from polka dots to animal prints, graphic patterns, and ombre motifs. Tops had fringe, but some bathing suit bottoms were as little as the Brazilian bathing suit which was so commonly showcased in Rio and Sao Paolo.
