Jerry Tommolini, for example, with his collection for Agogoa for the Spring/Summer 2012 at Milan Fashion Week creates sophisticated, even daring bathing suits and bikinis that appear as stylish as they are bold. The models are muscular to convey that boldness, and walk with strength as they showcase grayish-blue bikinis to go with their palm tree headwear, chunky necklaces, and fringed heels. Bikinis and bathing suits with stripes are worn with tight form fitting leggings that could as easily be mistaken for clubbing clothes. Some bikinis have embellishments, while others are just sassy--not the typical bikinis you'd seen for a downtown girl down the shore, but for the girl who knows what she wants--who conveys power as well as style. A bit of a nature theme is added to the mix and the result is beachwear you want to wear.

The venue included a catwalk over shallow water and models walking down in front of a grass-like backdrop. Bikinis also included tribal patterns and strapless one-pieces. Fabrics were brought from Europe and Brazil but the collection is made in the U.S. Models walked the runway in playful colors such as violet purple, turquoise, orange, white and hints of grey. Bikinis were simple, most were triangle tops along with cheeky bottoms, floral prints, halter one-pieces and some few sexy open backs.
Models sported very minimal and fresh makeup on the runway, while flaunting their long, sleek wavy beach hair.

Dita Von Teese leads runway charge

She uploaded the close-up image of her suspender-clad rear for all her faithful followers to see following a underwear fashion show in Australia.

Hanging backstage after the event in Melbourne, she wrote: "Personally believe the way one looks exiting the room is as important as the entrance."

Earlier on scantily-clad Dita had led a charge of models on the runway.

Smiley Dita sizzled in a black bra and suspenders from her own Von Follies collection as she walked in front of a bunch of top hat-wearing girls.

During another trip along the catwalk, Dita carried a netted garment in her hand.

She then tossed it into the audience, before turning and showing off her shapely rear in the transparent pants.

Cheeky Dita had briefed the girls on their modelling pose ahead of the show - indicating their should be no Angelina Jolie-type leg movements.

Angie's right leg spawned its own Twitter page at The Oscars due the star's ridiculous stance.

Dita said: "We've got strict rules regarding the poses here at the Von Follies runway show...legs together, ladies!"

Last week, at a photocall for the Von Follies collection, Dita said she was set on using curvy models who weren't "orange".

The former Mrs Marilyn Manson revealed that she didn't want skinny models to show off her undies because they look better on girls with "shape".

She said: "Of course I want to show all different types and more voluptuous girls. We gave a lot of models the axe for being too skinny ? we probably turned away a dozen.

"It's important to me we show curvaceous women and fuller-figured girls. Lingerie looks terrific on girls with shape."

Dita also placed a ban on her models getting spray tans prior to the event, saying: "I really wanted natural skin tones and not the fake orange glow, I want the real thing."

The star wrote about the decision on her Twitter page.

She said: "Disaster averted! Just issued out a "no spray tan" alert to our models. Apparently, spray tan is the usual prep for lingerie shows. Yikes!"

She then backed up her decision to issue the alert saying: "To set the record straight, my Von Follies lingerie show "no spray tan policy" means NATURAL skin tones will be represented, pale & dark."

When asked how she thought a woman should look, Dita said simply: "A femme fatale is always chic, a little wicked, edgy and dark, and has her own dress code she sticks to."
